More than 80 percent of cats three years or older develop some form of gingivitis. Gingivitis it's inflammation of the gums (gingiva). It may be localised to one tooth or may be affecting numerous teeth.The gingival sulcus, or gum pocket, is the narrow space between the inner wall of the gum and the tooth. As gingivitis develops, the bacteria present in these pockets changes, releasing toxins which destroy the gingival tissue.Red or swollen gums and bad breath this mostly symptoms of gingivitis in cats .

Candy 4 years old male cat came to our clinic with drooling, bad breath and decrease in appetite , do physical exam and closely examining his mouth to identify the condition.

Treatment of gingivitis depends on De-scaling to remove tartar build up ,Anti-inflammatory drug and Antibiotics
